My Firefighter

Chase is in the Fire Academy in Houston right now. He has already started applying for jobs in the area and he is very anxious to start his career as a firefighter. He recently took the civil service exam in Baytown and scored in the top 10 out of 136 people. He is not considering moving there but right now any job is better than nothing...and his schedule would only be 2 days a week! Although the idea of him rushing into dangerous fires scares me more than he knows, I am so proud of him and I think that it is great that he will be saving peoples lives. All of the guys in his class always tease him and ask him if he is practicing his poses for the firefighter calendar....he is definitely cute enough but I don't really like the idea of that! Right now he has the 2nd highest grade in his class and he is doing very well. He graduates from the Academy in June 2009. His goal is to be the engineer (fire truck driver)....that would be fine with me because he would not be rushing into hot flames!!! Look how CUTE!!! He wants everyone to know that I made him do this by the way! haha

Flower Girl Dresses

We are all very excited that Paisley Grace will be here soon...Chloe needs a cousin that she can play with! Chloe and Paisley are both going to be our flower girls in the wedding next Summer. My sister, Jennifer, and I have been looking around for their dresses and I think we have decided on a pink tutu! They will look so adorable. I'm still not sure what they are going to wear with the tutu but everyone knows that my life revolves around dance so I think the tutus will fit into the wedding perfectly!

The Wedding Planning Begins...

We (meaning "I", haha) have already decided that our wedding colors are going to be black and dark pink. All of my bridesmaids are VERY different ages and styles so it is going to be very interesting trying to find a dress that works for all of them! And no Michelle, no more zebra because I am afraid it will end up looking semi-tacky!!! Chase and I have started looking at different places in Houston to have the wedding/reception but still no luck...oh well, it's still early. We do know one thing.....we want to go to Atlantis in The Bahamas for our honeymoon!!! Wooo, can't wait! I am SUPER EXCITED about going to look for my wedding dress! I remember going with my sisters when they were getting married and I would always think, "Will it ever be my turn? Always a bridesmaid and never the bride." Not anymore!!! I have started looking online at different dresses and I have found a few that I like so hopefully when I go look for one I can find something close to these.

The Proposal

It was a Thursday night, February 12th to be exact... Chase and I had both agreed not to exchange Valentine's Day gifts so I was completely caught off guard when he came up to me with something behind his back and said, "I got you something for Valentine's Day". He had a huge suspicious smile on his face! He told me to close my eyes and hold out my hand so I did...I was expecting chocolate (he knows how much I love sweets!) but to my surprise I opened my eyes and in my hands I was holding an unwrapped new Sony digital camera. I started to cry because I thought it was such a sweet and expensive gift. My old camera is falling apart and Chase knew how much I have been wanting a new one because I take pictures ALL the time. He told me that he was soooo sorry that it wasn't pink and we could try to exchange it if the silver wasn't good enough! haha I didn't care about the color....I LOVED it! THEN, he told me that he had already taken a picture on it so of course I turn it on to see. My heart stopped when I saw a picture of a BEAUTIFUL diamond ring. I looked up at him very confused and he said, "Where was that picture taken?" I looked closely and I could tell that the ring in the picture was taken in his truck.... I immediately started crying even more and he pulled the ring out of his pocket and said, "Princess will you marry me???" I just jumped on him before I could say anything and I gave him the biggest hug EVER!!! Then he sadly said, "You didn't even say anything....." and I then said "YES!!!!!" We are planning on having the wedding sometime next Summer 2010. I will keep you updated on everything as the planning progresses!
